The Plough Inn was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, and we have travelled all over the world! The room was beautiful and the view from the window was superb. The restaurant and the food were excellent and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

I made this reservation - when I got to the hotel there was no record of my reservation, the staff were fantastic but explained that they have never heard of Active Hotel and then they checked their bookings, double checked and got someone else to look - sadly there were no rooms available but they found a room for us at another 4* hotel at a good rate. I would not be using Active Hotel again.

Pleasant staff. Good response once technical problems sorted out. Conveniently close to the colleges.
No help with luggage up many steps. Inadequate parking arrangements (I picked up a £25 as a result). I had to ask about the new use of the room safe and only then was supplied with a key. Bedside lighting inadequate (cannot be positioned to make reading easy). No bran in the range of breakfast cereals.

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
