convenient, all people in one room

too stuffy with heater, noise from outside street

Overall: Hotels in London are generally expensive for small rooms. The staff were very friendly and the room was small but comfy. The heater was onthe first night and it was very stuffy and hard to keep window open as we were right on street level. Shower was small but nice. Breakfast very nice, filling. Very accepting of leaving our luggage at desk while we toured around on the last day.  (1582025)

Staff were exceptionally helpful, they went out of their way to be of assistace. Traditional full English breakfast was well prepared

Overall: Close to Kings Cross. Pleasant walk distance to the British Museum Safe neighborhood. 1/2 block to a good pub serving meals.  (1158978)

Pleasant staff, clean, bed quite comfortable.

Toilet one floor below and shared shower two floors below meant hanging around in the corridor waiting until it was free

Overall: OK, but would probably book earlier, pay a little bit more and stay somewhere better  (108693891)

Kind friendly and helpful staff.

No real 'bad' points. The hotel was being painted, however, this did not cause any problems.

Overall: The staff, were very kind and helpful. The room and facilities were very clean and a good breakfast served. Very good value for money. I would stay there again, however would phone the hotel directly to book. Thank you.  (108303347)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
