Restaurant staff were very attentive and efficient. Reception staff were very friendly. The hotel is set in picturesque grounds and it's very pleasant to sit at one of the tables on the lawn by the lake sipping a drink.
Being a big country house hotel it attracts weddings, so it was very busy at the bar and around the lawn area on the Saturday night - not good if you want a peaceful retreat. Try not to get a room by the road because it is quite noisy (although the double glazing does mitigate this).
Overall: We had a nice time overall. We dined in the restaurant one night and food was of a high standard. The hotel is run very efficiently. The spa facilities are very good and the staff are highly professional. (107597517)

Hotel was very clean & the staff polite & effective. The grounds were wonderful and very well kept. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped.
TV reception was poor although this was not a problem as we did not watch it much. Noise by other guests attending weddings & other events was an annoyance, especially the fireworks on Saturday night.
Overall: we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel, it was a very relaxing atmosphere and we would definitely come here again. (107333065)
