Friendly and helpful personnel. Quick response to reported issues.

In the assigned room, the tap water was very hot. Cold water tap was out of order. We were then moved to another room. In the second room, the TV was out of order, and the heating could not be turned-off, in spite of summer conditions.

Overall: Adequate for the one-night stay, but not recommended for longer periods.  (107768116)

cleanliness of room excellent, breakfast was also excellent

room was very warm as windows would not open, maybe time to invest in air-conditioning?!

Overall: A very pleasurable experience helped by very friendly staff. Room tarrif was reasonable and we would recommend to friends.  (107925663)

Lovely Hotel in a great village. Service was very good. Food was excellent.

We did'nt see any bad points except for the bad weather.

Overall: Loved the Hotel, Food and service, would go back again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area.  (107561806)

Staff generally very friendly. Restaurant nice and good value. Lovely village.

Service at breakfast on Sunday was quite disorganised. Billing was a mess! No herbal tea bags in room.

Overall: We enjoyed it. It's a decent hotel; very good value. Just a couple of glitches.  (107556120)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
