Room was large.

Decor slightly dated. Bar was closed at 10:30 on the Friday evening although we were offered a last drink at bar. The hotel lacked atmospere.

Overall: Ok place to stay but quite expensive for what you get.  (107394440)

The hotel is well presented in the shared area's of reception, bar, lounge and dinning room with a nice atmosphere and very clean.

The room we had (39)is in desperate need of decorating, the wall paper is tired, marked and hanging off in places, the carpet is worn/damaged to the core, the ceiling has peeling paint hanging from it and cob webs had not been removed. The towel rail in the bathroom can not be turned on/off, as a consequence the bathroom was cold, with mould on the window and frame. The bedroom radiator did not warm the room sufficiently to make you want to stop in it and relax. Very dissapointed.

Overall: Appart from the bedroom there are no real issues, the bar was expensive compared to some and to others in the village, £4.80 for a 175ml glass of house red wine is the most expensive houe wine I have ever had.  (2898812)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
