Receptionist was efficient. Breakfast enjoyable, lovely view from dining room.

Bathroom had not been equiped with clean towels and soap. A dirty hand towel had been left. Bed side table near window (which was open) was covered in insects around the lamp that was switched on when we entered the room. Seemed to be a shortage of staff as the problem could not be dealt with until a few hours later, due to service for dinner.

Overall: Quite a quaint hotel but more attention to detail should be made.  (108651112)

very poor standard of room ie.looking out over building (no view) :shower area very tight,tray flooded :Only 2 stations on tv others not tuned in :old wardrobe door difficult to open :no telephone:fire alarm sounded at 00.30am

Great location, quiet, tastfully refurbished but still old and quaint.

Waiting staff lacked experience and what they should really do.

Overall: Good and I would certainly stay again given the chance although only at a discounted rate as the headline rate is a little overpriced IMO.  (107553728)

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
