Overall: We dined in the Grill Room on 3 Nov. I had lemon sole for main course I asked for a fish knife as you would, I was told WE DON'T HAVE FISH KNIVES. I find this quite poor. (97872716)

Overall: It was easy to find the hotel following those directions provided by the hotel from our online booking. Online booking very quick and uncomplicated. The room was very pleasant. The settee was very welcome. It was comfortable to sit and relax on rather than just having the bed. Bed comfortable. Bedlinen clean and general presentation very good. Lighting was suitable for reading in bed. I was not aware of any surrounding noise from other rooms but there were not a lot of guests at the time. The meal in the evening was very good and varied choice. Prices for meal average but food above average. Reseentation of the food good. Very personal service. I noticed that a 10% service charge was included on the restaurant bill. I tend to leave a tip of 10% in cash on the table so that the people serving get the tip. I should like to have it confirmed that this service charge is actually passed on to the waiters/waitresses and kitchen staff. (97401983)

Overall: Very disappointed with quality of service in the cocktail bar. In the afternnon we ordered tea and cake. We had to ask for serviettes and forks!! On returning to the hotel in the evening ( not late, the bar was open and occupied) we asked for a coofee. We were told there were no coffee pots or mugs as they had a busy day! These experiences took the edge off the hotel experience. I would expect more from a hotel of your style.
