Excellent value, first class facilities and the chance to experience fine Italian cuisine. Maria does a forst class job as hostess and freely giving information for seeing local attractions.
Not all that easy to find. Sat. Nav. is a great help.

Excellent service, food, pool, quality of building/equipment, staff, etc, etc! When we arrived, the owner was just picking some fresh fruit from the garden for us!
Overall: The Masseria Grande was possibly one of the finest establishements I have visited in the world. A small hotel (about a dozen rooms) where the owner evidently insisted on the best of everything and every need was taken care of in a friendly, homely way. It is located in an area of little Italian villages and within its grounds, it has its own vineyard (wine coming next year..) olive groves and numerous other fruit and veg- all of which are used by the chef for breakfast and dinner (well worth the 25 euro a head for a 4 course set menu - some of the finest food we had on a two week stay in Italy). Go there for total relaxation, whether that be by the pool with its beautiful views; or to read or study in the reading room or one of the two bars, or in the gardens. It never appears to feel busy, even when fully booked. We called it a slice of heaven! (108005475)
