New dining room was excellent. Views from dining room and lounge were very good.

Parking a little tricky. I parked on the lower car park but it was steep to drag up the luggage. Room was a litte chilly.

Excellent location with lovely views. Nice large room with sea view. Friendly staff.

Car parking a bit of a lottery. Evening meal mediochre, although breakfast was OK.

As always the staff were friendly, helpful and pleasant.

Had I been in my wheelchair I would have been difficult to negotiate the narrow corridors leading to our room. I had to call up the night-porter as there was no hot water for a shower. After running the shower for several minutes the water began to finally get hot. The plumbing and showers really do need upgrading, and attention paid to the discolouration of grouting in the bathroom. Also blankets on beds while warm, they are very heavy and are rather old fashioned. I am Disabled and we were unable to find a parking space within easy walking distance to the main doors. My son dropped me off at the main doors and had to take the car to the bottom carpark, where there still were no spaces, luckily one was just being vacated. However had I been on my own I would not have been able to manage at all, as to get into the hotel I would have had to climb steps to the rear entry. When I asked at reception if there were only three disabled bays, I was told that there was and warned that there was always a scramble for them, which didn't really help. I did notice that two cars parked in the disabled bays were not displaying any blue badges. It would be easier and a lot better if several bays opposite the doors were given over as Disabled bays for guests of the hotel only.

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire.
