Pleasant view, nice pool and facilities, extremely nice food in restaurant

smokey smell in room

Overall: Fantastic restaurant, breakfast bit pricey, also as the Great South Run was on and many people staying were runners would have been nice if breakfast could have started a little earlier, staff may have realised there were several people in the restaurant well before 8am as many of us had to be on our way, most had finished breakfast before the toast even arrived!! Very clean and pleasant apart from cigarette smell in room Very close to marina so nice views of boats etc.  (1537260)

Polite and helpful staff,very good food in restaurant.

Staff obviously overstretched due to wedding party,bar was running out of glasses,ice,etc. Door to room was left ajar/unlocked after cleaning.

Overall: Overall impressed,hotel was clean and staff welcoming and friendly.It was ideally situated for visiting Goodwood,and because of rooms position was quiet despite wedding party in function rooms.  (107810903)

The restaurant had a good ambience and the food was good.

Breakfast - you ran out of bread rolls and the kitchen did not appear to be able to keep up with the demands of the guests. We spoke to reception about a tray being left outside one of the rooms which had been there for most of the afternoon and evening. Despite having told reception when we went back to our room at the end of the evening it was still in the hallway.

Overall: We felt that the restaurant was understaffed and because of this they were having difficulties in dealing with the guests promptly. We even mentioned to the wine waiter that a table had not been cleared, which was then dealt with. When we ordered our wine we were told that unfortunately there were no ice buckets available as they were all in use. The reason given was that you had 2 wedding receptions. As you deal with wedding receptions on a regular basis I would have thought that you would ensure that you had enough ice and ice buckets available not only for the wedding reception but also the guests in the restaurant.  (108862972)
