Excellent position for a leisure stay as so near to many attractions in Birmingham, which i have wanted to explore for some time. I found the price fair and the breakfast just right for me. Plenty of good restaurants close by.

Concerned about car parking, which was actually OK. It would have helped me if there were detailed maps available (tourist Information had excellent free ones). I walked the route out of the car park the evening before I left to ensure I did not get it wrong in the rush hour. It was well worth the walk.

Overall: Good value for money all the staff were very welcoming and made my stay peaceful and homely. Thank you.  (108956735)

The room was clean and warm. The internet connection was okay. The hotel was central.

The room was a little noisey from the outside. Some members of the staff were unfriendly. The first man on the reception desk was non communicative, the second guy was fine. Staff in the breakfast room, one morning the lady was non communicative and not at all friendly or pleasant; next day, a different lady, was fine. On the seecond evening I arrived at the foyer of the hotel and 2 men who I took to be owners or managers were standing in the foyer in the doorway of the bar. I said hello. They looked at me clearly decided I was not worth the effort of a response, and ignored me. The television was fairly basic, 5 analogue channels only.

Overall: I wouldn't stay again.  (108214196)

Upon arrival the hotel had no record of my bookig despite me having the print out of the booking confirmation. I also had a reservation for later in the week so I double checked that reservation and again there was no record of the booking. No parking at the hotel.

Overall: The hotel is old and very tired. I attended a conference there, the hotel is just not geared up for conferences, tea/coffee late, insufficient cups and also plates at lunch. No paper and pens provided for delegates. Only one member of staff who was trying to look after reception as well as the conference.  (108642055)
