Walking distance to Brighton City centre & seafront in a pleasant 'villagey feel' area. Themed rooms a really fun idea for a weekend gettaway, and they look good until you spend 10 minutes in them....

Decor ideas have obviously been done on a shoestring. Ratty venetian blinds at windows with badly blistered and peeling paintwork just ruin the whole effect, sadly. Pile of, (presumably used!), bedding on uppermost landing left a lasting impression they might want to think about. Main bedding clean but the underside of the very fancy beadspread looked dirty in a most unpleasant way. Yuck! No staff on premises overnight. Security pop in 3 times a night apparently, although no evidence of this seen. No wonder they want the bill settled on ARRIVAL. Will not stay again, will not recommend.

Overall: We anticipated a BOUTIQUE Hotel as billed, but found it to be little more than an aspirational B & B who are definately overcharging for what is on offer.  (108222595)

Location

Quite tacky. Poor room for £130. Heard other guests say that the "Cosmos" room was not popular

Overall: Definitely would not recommend  (108761885)

Easy access to centre of Brighton, unusual and unique room decor, friendly staff, continental breakfast.

Some electrical equipment was humming through the night and the telephone by the bed made noises occasionally!

Overall: Convenient for a trip to the centre of Brighton and generally a good hotel.  (108750484)

Thought the breakfast in bed was a wonderful idea!

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
