Fiendly Staff, Lanlord/Lady very helpful and attentive, Great food, Even better Ales. Great position on the moor.

Small point but...Could do with a rubbish bin in the bedroom

the hotel staff were very friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble to them, fantastic views from bedroom, walk in shower was great, tea/coffee in room + complementary shower/shampoo which is a bonus.

breakfast,had no seperate milk jugs per table, so when you wanted milk for your tea/coffee you had to go to the cereal table to use that milk. no hardship though, a spoon of bakedbeans would have been nice.

Overall: friendly staff,clean rooms,good menu for meals,stunning views,if out that way again will stop there, would also reccomend it.  (107414429)

The only good point was that the wardrobe and dressing table were new and clean.

Slight nasty smell in bathroom and black bathroom tiles were smeared and wanted a good cleaning. The bedding was clean but very tired looking. No mattress cover and bed extremely uncomfortable, one could feel the springs.

Overall: Poor. We were unable to sleep on the bed and left after trying to sleep and were able to find a room at a local Travelodge. I suppose on reflection I should have realised that the price was too low and one gets what one pays for  (107538456)

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
