The breakfast
Car park not well lit at night. Shower did not work properly.
Designated smoking area a complete joke - One parking space was used in the car park with a broken umbrella on a table again difficult to find. This space was about 25 yards from the hotel, yet there is a decked area that is on the outside of the hotel which could easily have been used especially as other premier inns that we have stayed in have more user friendly smoking areas set up. Even a member of staff looked embarrassed and agreed that it was in the wrong place. There was no atmosphere and the guy who booked us in had a habit of talking at us and not with us and had a look of a disapointed sales man who had just lost a sale! The view from the bedroom window was non existent - a 4ft wall with trees imeediatley behind left the room dark
Overall: Disapointed. I would start by saying that when I booked this particular Inn I thought that the Inn would be better suited closer to the airport as it is called Premier Inn Bristol Airport. We have used premier inn on a few occassions in other locations with no problems and this was the worst one by far. Had this been the first one we had stayed in then It could possibly have put us off for the future but luckily we know better. On leading up to the Inn we both thought what a lovely building but once inside it gives the impression of a mansion on Halloween (which indeed it was)The atmosphere was cold and very unwelcoming. We have stayed in Premier Inns at Chorley,Birmingham,Newcastle and recently last week in Bromsgrove and have all been fabulous stays with a heartfelt welcome. It could even be that The Sidcot Arms is not the ideal location or layout for a premier inn. (108230713)
