Hotel room was clean and of a good size
Although when booking there was a box to select a smoking room when I arrived I was told that all premier inns rooms were non smoking. If at the time of booking I had been informed of that point I would not have booked.
Overall: The reception staff were friendly but were of the view that all hotels had a completely non smoking policy. I stayed at the Hilton at Watford in September and booked a smoking room. Outside of the hotel there were cigarette butts littering the ground which made it obvious that people were smoking by their windows and discarding the butts. I pointed this out to the staff and said I refused to act like a "naughty child". I therefore could not undress properly in my room until bedtime as I had to leave the hotel everytime I wanted a cigarette. Please make it clear when booking there is a non smoking policy. reception staff asked if we wanted breakfast when it stated on booking info we had already paid ,kids beds not made up on arrival as they thought it was for 2 when stated on booking form was a quad room . breakfast was a bad experience- no one to greet us and explain the process buffet had run out of everything even tho we were there at 9 am was very busy not enough staff took 65 mins for us to get our cooked breakfast
