It was a nice location
It was understaffed,we didn't get the room we booked and the one we did get was extremely noisey (we were woke at 2.30 am on the sun morn due to a lot of noise right outside front door).We lost all electricity in room for about half an hr on arrival(in total darkness)the staff didnt seem to know what to do.The feeling was that the staff were a bit young and inexperienced.
Overall: we booked there for a peaceful relaxing weekend,which was spoilt by the room we were given in its location right next to the smoking area for the pub and a main thoroughfare for pedestrians.Very very disappointed. (108999537)
Location. Lovely shower!
Overall: Very poor service - ie checking in and breakfast. Disgusting food - very poor. Often no toast, juice, part of cooked breakfast because they had run out of ingredients. Milk, coffee, biscuits in room never topped up. Never anyone at reception to contact or leave keys with. Subsequently anyone could have access to our room keys and our room. Infact one evening on returning from a day out we couldn't find anyone so had to help ourselves to keys! No parking for all visitors/customers. No-one noticed we left on departure day! (108999431)
The manager was exceptional in working with us to make our stay good. The breakfast was great. We were in a cottage which was nice for entering and exiting without disturbing others. Car park was available though directions to access it were helpful.
The matress was worn and had no cover on it. The carpeting could have been cleaned or updated. We asked the gentleman who checked us in for a restaurant recommendation and he was unable to provide one as he hadn't eaten in the town, which I can understand he's on a limited budget. Providing staff with responses to these typical questions would be helpful.
Overall: The manager was wonderful in accomodating us, good quality breakfast and a car park provided. (108707787)
