The hotel was full. I was simply told that I would have to find alternative accommodation. Instead I returned home and out of interest tried to book a room directly with the hotel chain. Strangely, three different rooms were offered both on the internet and by the telephone reservation service. I am still awaiting a response to my complaint despite it being twenty four hours past the time the duty manager said he would contact me.
Overall: We did not get past reception. The hotel claimed that my booking was not on their system and yet the day before they had actually phoned me to promote their leisure services. (108969219)

We requested early entry into our room as we were attending my god-daughters wedding and needed the time to get organised. This was obviously taken on board by your establishment as we only waited 10 minutes before being given access. This allowed us to get ready at a leisurely pace to arrive in plenty time for the ceremony.
We originally made our booking through the internet. The process itself was pretty painless and convenient but it seems somewhere down the line, despite receiving confirmation, the booking had been cancelled. I ultimately had to go directly through the hotel to rectify. I would probably use the internet again as I'm not sure where the error occurred or who was responsible. However, I reckon I'd be making double checks to ensure that all is definitely in order.
With regard to your menu - although I never ate in the hotel, one glance at the prices of your food would've changed my mind even if I was starving. I'm no miser and I accept that you pay a bit more in these type of surroundings but your prices were a bit adventurous. On speaking to some other guests, I can confirm that we were not the only ones who felt this.
Overall: My boyfriend and I had a most enjoyable stay at the hotel. Lovely surroundings and pleasant staff adding to the overall effect. I have family in Corby and visit the area often. Your hotel is definitely somewhere I would return to without hesitation. (108407635)
Minor grouse. I arrived on my bike at about 5 o'clock soaked through by the rain, desperate for a hot bath. The water was luke warm!

Very central location and a relatively quick check-in process.
The cleanliness of the spa and pool area was not great, as there were used plasters on the floor, old newspapers still on the loungers and dirt and hair in the shower areas. We were the first ones in the area when it opened on the Saturday morning, so it wasn't a case of other guests having ruined the standards before we got there. I am 7.5 months pregnant so this may be more of an issue for me than it normally would be.
The electric wall sockets in the room were loose from the wall too which was a big concern for us, and we were thankful that we didn't have any children with us.
Finally, the air conditioning didn't work in our room, so we had to have the window open. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel and the busy A road.
Overall: We were disappointed with the standard of the facilities and the quality of finishing in the bedroom. The prices in the hotel for food were a lot, but there was a Harvester nearby. If you are thinking of having breakfast book it in advance, as £9.95 per person in advance or £14.95 if you just walk into the restaurant. (108617813)
