The food was excellent and the service was superb, we were made to feel very welcome

The room needs a complete revamp and the bathroom/shower needs completely renewing. It was all in need of redecoration. The TV was not digital and therefore only able to view 4 channels. The bed was uncomfortable and very noisey when you turned over, also you could hear every movement from the people in the room above!!

Overall: Loved the area, the restaurants and people. We were made to feel very welcome and part of the community.  (108198895)

Food was good quality

More shabby than chic - furniture was saleroom leftovers

Overall: OK in parts - however whilst we returned to find a series of phone messages advising us that our internet booking hadn't been accepted then they'd had a cancellation and it was OK - none of which was mentioned when we checked in!  (108547061)

fabulous old building in good order, good food, fabulous location, outstandingly good coffee, excellent staff (barman who showed us the room, gentleman who cooked breakfast).

Having found the pub entrance we then had to walk outside around the corner in the rain to the accommodation. Our room was in the attic,reached by two flights of narrow creaking stairs. It was not possible to stand up upon first entering the room and even then anyone over about 5ft. would be unable to stand upright for more than half the floor space. This place stretches old world Cotswold charm to the limit. We would not stay here again

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
