Breakfast was ok and service of the staff.

Overall: It was quite noisy and we were not in the main part of the hotel. I felt as though we had been put in a shabby room with no view of the river at all, only a building site.  (108819889)

Location. You don´t need a car at all. you can walk to all the main attractions and restarurants. Size of the room, quite large. Size of the bathroom, huge. Nice and large windows in the bedroom. Express check-out very useful.

The room was really cold the night we got there (19ºC). Every night the room was very cold again (19º). Conditioned air is too strong and they swicht it in every room the moment they clean it. The hair-drier was broken at the bathroom and they didn´t change it. We couldn´t use it. The street was a bit noisy at night. People go out from the bars and stay in front of the HOtel singing. Breakfast was too expensive. Corridors, windows, doors, the fitted carpet...were a bit shabby.

Overall: 6 over 10. It was O.k.,but it could have been better. They need to change the fitted-carpet in the corridors and control room temperature, especially when guests are not in. (If you are in the room you can switch off the air continioned)  (108917231)

The hotel is in a convenient location with parking and gym facilities. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past many times, however this time we felt like we were put in the smallest room they had available. It was really only suitable for single bed as there was no room for anything else in the room. There was poor ventilation in the bathroom and the bedroom withthe wondo not being able to open and a stale smell in the room and corridor. The actual bed was the most uncomfortable we have slept in for a long while, and with the lowest quality pillows, after 2 nights we both had back and neck ache. We did advise the hotel on the way out and they were very apologetic, but we will probably give another hotel ago next time for a change, as whilst they were full, you would think that being a regular guest counted for something, so you weren't shoved into the broom cupboard!

Overall: Not the best experience, however as we were visiting family and friends we didn't have to be in it for long.  (107405263)

Location was excellent. Annexe entrance where we had our room was very shabby and uninviting but the room and ensuite were very pleasant.

See above. TV in room had poor and limited reception.

Overall: Very pleasant.  (107477490)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
