Clean room and comfortable bed
Even though I had booked 3 nights over the internet site (and had the e-mail confirmation back to prove it) I had only been booked in for one night. This had to be corrected at check in and the receptionist did not apologise for the error that had been caused, making me feel as though it was my fault (even though it wasn't). It doesn't take much effort to be polite and these things do matter to your customers. A little more customer excellence training I think.
