Good position, parking very close by, very helpful staff

The colour schemes are outdated, lots of brown and beige.

The room was shabby - the carpet was in poor condition and there was a hole in the wall

Overall: The hallways are poorly lit - I felt like I was in a Nursing Home instead of a hotel  (99701173)

We found it to be well-furnished, attractive and well maintained.

Overall: Our recent stay in a Mercure hotel in Toulouse, which was extremely spacious and well appointed, encouraged us to seek similar accommodation in Bordeaux. The Mercure Cit  (99762939)

Big comfortable clean non-smoking room.

no breakfast included, really missed a coffee/tea machine in the room

Overall: I was prepared for the hotel having read a description in the NY Times which described a modern ugly building well-located in the middle of a 18th century city with very adequate accomodations. This was all very true. The exterior of the hotel is very far from charming but the accomodation is very adequate and reasonable. What more do you need.  (99197557)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
