Quality of food at restaurant was better than we would of expected - high quality produce, very good. Portions a little small but you can't have everything!

Overall: Very good, nice sized room and everything in order and staff helpful  (108690247)

Overall: the facilities of the room was ok, but travelling three guys (average height 190 cm +) together, meant sleeping in two fairly small double beds was not an option. After talking to the staff, we found out there was no possibility of getting an extra bed into our room (we were prepared to pay extra and would be happy just with a small portable bed), so one person ended up sleeping on the floor. After comming to the hotel pretty late after a long day of cycling, we tried to get some information about getting food and drinks. The receptionist did not speak english or german, and did not seem informed about any dinner/fast-food facilities neither in the surrounding area nor in Grenoble city centre. This problem might have been exaggerated by the fact that we and the receptionist did not speak a common language, but we would expect that she would at least try to understand our problem (we did manage to make her aware in simple french phraces that we needed a meal...) and do her best in the situation, and if nothing else point on the map to the part of Grenoble with resturants/bars open after 23.00. After walking 45 minutes in the Expo-area we decided to take our car, and then after 20 minutes of driving in Grenoble we managed to find a kebops-stall where we finally ate at 00.30  (97385606)

It was quiet and you had non smoking rooms

Minimum facilities available at weekend made me think the price was expensive in comparison with other hotels. 15 euros for breakfast was too much. A lighter, less expensive alternative would be a good idea.

Close to facilities we wanted to use. Ice rink next door, good tram service to centre.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. No smoke free areas or rooms.

Overall: Facilities were poor over the weekend. Bar and restaurant closed from saturday lunch time until sunday evening. Service at the bar when it was open was poor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Main areas of the hotel were cold/drafty.  (99270349)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
