The atmosphere was good, very continental, and the food good.

The shower bracket did not properly support the shower head!

Overall: I knew that the hotel had no private parking, but on a Saturday night there was a tight squeeze to get the car in. Overall, it was a good experience, but the hotel was only selected because it was available, and other more convenient ones on the active list could not accomodate us on the journey from La Tania to Grenoble (airport).  (97515669)

Friendly owners, beautiful location, excellent food and wine. great value

Nothing really, narrow stairwells to take heavy luggage up.

Overall: Information provided was accurate. The town of Allevard was interesting, if I had known more about the town at the time of booking we would have stayed for several more nights.  (3305204635)

The Hotel is situated in a pleasant village next to a river. The room and hotel were very clean and the staff welcoming.

Rooms are without air conditioning which in hot weather is uncomfortable. Noise from river rapids meant closing the windows.

Overall: The hotel would be an ideal base for holiday makers exploring the countryside around Allevard. The hotel was very clean, rooms a good size and all of the facilities worked well. The staff at the hotel were friendly and made you feel welcome. I did not have dinner at the Hotel, but the dinner menu looked good. The breakfast was good with hot croissant, fresh bread, tea/coffee and juice. The price for the accomodation and breakfast was very reasonable, so good for families on holiday.  (3304838288)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
