It's a Chateau! Beautiful grounds, we had a fabulous huge room with bath. It even had this cute little upstairs room ajoined - probably used to be the maids room. The grounds are beautiful and they have a lovely garden area where you can lounge around drinking champagne. The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant was good. Overall we loved it, it was a fabulous break to our hectic holiday and great value for money.

Room was excellent, lovely scenery, well kept gardens, very tranquil, water features very relaxing, excellent restaurant.

Maintenance of the bathroom was a little sub standard in comparison to the rest of the hotel, wall was a little broken around the shower screen and fan on ceiling needed attention.

Overall: Brilliant, would come again.  (108349594)

room amenities plentiful. very comfortable bed, good size room.

old and tired furniture in the lodge and bedrooms. needs some updating and recovering of old lounge which was falling apart in our room.

Overall: great location for what we wanted to do in the surrounding area. Evening restaurant meal was excellent however very extravagant, wine list was expensive. B/F was vg.  (107663460)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
