One or two staff could do with customer training!
Overall: We liked it and would stay again BUT THERE WAS A PROBLEM EITHER WITH YOU OR THEM. THEY DID NOT HAVE A BOOKING FOR US ALL ROOME WERE FULL EXCEPT A ROOM FOR DISABLED GUESTS. FORTUNATELY IT WAS FINE BUT DETACHED FROM THE MAIN ROOM AREAS. yOU SHOULD CHECK THE SYSTEM!!!! (107273934)
Our room was beautifully clean and spacious, with everything we could ask for. Peacefully located overlooking the hotels beautiful garden. I have very difficult dietary needs, and the wonderful chef was so accommodating, thoughtful and resourceful....I would like to say that the other staff were wonderful too. So friendly and cheerful. We will certainly return.
There was nothing to dislike.....I would have been nice to have a tea making facility in the room as it was spacious and comfortable to sit in for afternooon tea, but this was provided in the lounge and we were never charged for it.
Overall: This Hotel deserves a higher star rating, I would rank it as equal to any 4* hotel and I think more should be made of the excellent cuisine. Mr Chilo is a superb chef and coincidentally, when we were driving North back to UK, we stayed at The Hostellerie de la Mere Hamard in Semblancay, and Mr P (99858867)
The setting, the garden, the lovely furniture and confortable bed.
The overwelming smell of cooking all over the hotel, especially in the bedroom, all pervading day and night. Lack of fresh air and poor ventilation. The heater in the bathroom was not working.
