Clean, well maintained and great location
I paid on line on booking but did not receive a receipt, the hotel did not seem clear that I had already paid.

excellent location; superior room was overlooking the river towards the old town with magnificant views of Saumur Chateau; close within walking distance to many bars and restaurants; excellent breakfast with lots of choice; plenty of parking facilities in front of hotel and in car park just around the corner
Overall: We very much enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Bords de Loire and would definitely recommend it; it was excellent value for money. We chose the superior room and it was well worth it - a lovely, very generous sized room with superb views to the Chateau de Saumur. The breakfast was also very good value for money with lots of choice and everything was fresh. We would have no hesitation to come back to this place. (108822839)

Exellent room quality and value for location - well equipped.
A little less personal than it was previously when not a chain hotel
Overall: very good - would be more than happy to stay here again - the rare addition of tea/coffee facilities in the room was a nice surprise. (107341724)

secure parking; bar and reception area. Room smelt of disinfectant both times we stayed. Only one pillow; two required and better quality. Fabulous views over Loire and Saumur. perfect location
dark corridor, gloomy colours.
Overall: Very good 'pit stop' hotel fofr those heading South. Saumur is a beautiful old town, a short stroll across a lovely stone bridge across the Loire, with restaurants and bars aplenty. The Hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable - and mercifully free from the yapping noise of teenagers' mopeds which makes many French towns no-go ares for us to stay in. (99305238)
