Basic room but had everything you needed.

Rotten window frames didn't help keep the noise out - very stuffy rooms

Overall: Would book again  (108147839)

3.9 / 5 3.9 / 5 matthew [aberdare, GB] on 01/11/2009 (Group of work colleagues)

good quality rooms and good shower facilities

check in receptionist could have been a bit more helpful and welcoming.

Overall: overall a nice stay and will be using the hotel again without question.  (108682027)

Convenient location.

The room had a really strong smell of cigerettes, even to the extent where my clothes smelt after staying in the room. A friend staying in another room had exactly the same experience. General state of repair was poor (bathroom was shabby, tv remote held together with sellotape, damaged walls, window was rotten, etc). Room was very small.

Overall: Convenient location, terrible hotel.  (108615490)

3.4 / 5 3.4 / 5 Chris [cheddar, GB] on 21/09/2009 (Solo leisure traveller)

Clean hotel, friendly staff, good location, reasonable price

TV remote control didn't work, shower temperature control didn't work properly (90% of range was too hot, and it didn't stay at a single temperature but drifted colder throughout shower). Although not a problem for me, a tall person might have headroom problems in the shower.

Overall: For an overnight stay in central Nottingham on a budget it was good accommodation.  (108689139)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
