It was in a good position but parking was slightly suspect. Although the car park was far too small for the number of guests they could accommadate there was pretty good street parking, free from about 5.00pm to 11.00pm. breakfast was plentiful. Service in the bar was also very good but we did not use the Restaurant.

We ere a little disappointed with the room,it was relatively small although we being big people did not possibly help. There were two chairs, always and added bonus rather than having to sit on te bed to watch TV. The shower was very old fashioned and again being on the bigger side meant it was fairly cramped when using it: fortunately it had a very good jet and there was plenty of hot water. The beds were quite old and were not that comfortable being very "soft"; we like much harder beds.

Overall: Overall slightly disappointed but as it was only for a couple of nights it was not too much of a problem. It just appeared to be getting a bit "tired". It needed to be spruced up to make it make more appealing.  (108820670)

Overall: OK but not great  (108182761)

None really except the very pleasant lady at reception in the night; she was very helpful and naturally cheerful.

Dinghy corridors, dull lighting, only 5 television channels, there is definitely no wi-fi as advertised, central heating is timed but was not working in my room, an electric heater that smelt burnt and dried up the air, lumpy and uncomfortable bed that was small for two people, no electric sockets near the bed, the bed's footboard obscured the television, breakfast was miserable and flat.

Overall: Quite unfortunate, a generally drab place and to think that I stayed in what is probably the best room...... uuggggh!!!  (108941902)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
