Easy to find. Sufficient car parking (free). Staff very welcoming and attentive. Hotel has been refurbished in the recent past.

Rock hard mattress. No butter for breakfast on first morning. Only margarine available which was a shame with a good bread offering. Traffic noise is not too bad but if you're a light sleeper you may wish to reconsider.

Overall: The location was very convenient for personal and business purposes. The room was sufficiently big and was contemporary in decor with good facilities in working order. The continental breakfast offered a good range of choices (excellent fruit salad). The premium for a cooked breakfast was a bit high. Not a problem for me as I'm trying to lose some pounds. Can't comment on the evening dinner or bar as I was with friends elsewhere.  (108803047)

Very friendly and competent staff, comfortable room, excellent food.

Rather off-putting exterior, awkward approach for cars.

Overall: Very good hotel with excellent staff.  (108679563)

Overall: Enjoyable stay. Room was very reasonably priced #45. Most places leave you feeling short changed. If prices stay the same would make it a more regular bolt hole.  (108665779)

Lovely room although you needed a map to find it. The Queen size bed was a treat.

Maintenance was due on the room in the bathroom which we accepted, but then whilst looking for a pen the handle of the drawer fell off. A stain on the carpet next to the bed looked like a spillage which hadn't been noticed and cleaned accordingly.

Overall: Overall very good  (108586188)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
