Great value for money for a luxury hotel

Better selection of childrens meals like burgers/chicken nuggets & chips.

Overall: Hotel is 1st rate, accomidation was comfortable , surroundings good - Would Certainly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to families.  (2666794)

Very spacious room, extra touches such as leaf tea and ground coffee, very comfortable. Beautiful grounds, lovely old building.

Dinner in the brasserie was very 'nouveau cuisine' - small amount, high price.

Excellent, friendly staff. The receptionist at check in was particularly pleasant and helpful as were the staff at breakfast. Room very clean and well presented, spacious too.

Sadly, although my breakfast order was taken promptly it was some time before it arrived. I was not impressed by the dried up bacon nor the item on the plate which I had specifically asked to be omitted.

Overall: Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others as the breakfast incident could easily be a one off and the staff, location and room were top class.  (107468216)

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
