Everything, wonderful hotel, situated in a prime location for night life, shopping, dining and theatres. NCP parking is located at the rear of the hotel and at £13.90 for 24 hours i felt this to be a resonable fee.

At check-in we were allocated a room that had not been cleaned. The cooked breakfast was served almost cold - it must have been standing somewhere, the order was wrong, staff showed no interest in clearing away finished plates etc.

Decor was good. Nice central location.
Check in was terrible. Nobody at reception desk when I enetered around 9:15pm. Had to wait for at least 5 full minutes before a staff member appeared from the bar area. instead of apologising, he thanked me for waiting, as though he knew I had been standing there all along! He gave a very curory overview of the main points, and failed to give any directions as to how to get to my room or where breakfast would be served the following morning.
Overall: I had an excellent stay in a Mercure hotel in Hannover, Germany earlier this year, and was anticipating something similar from my stay in Bristol. However, overall I would have to admit to being disappointed. In this very competitive price bracket (for hotels) I think next time I may try an alternative. (108145011)
