Arrived late, the staff were aware of my late arrival time and waited around to ensure everything was in order.

Overall: A well managed hotel, small, friendly and good value for money.  (108793684)

Room was a good size, it had it's own terrace, good parking facilities

The room wasn't as clean as it should be. There was peeling paint, light fittings weren't finished with exposed bulbs. The fridge was not turned on, no fresh water in it or ice - it was very hot during my stay - the fridge could have done with more of a clean.

Overall: This is an adequately comfortable hotel. The staff were friendly and seemed to be trying hard. The room needed more finishing touches, it seemed neglected and attention to detail was lacking. But the night was quiet, the bed comfortable. This is not a destination hotel but somewhere to crash if you are doing something else.  (107897523)

The nicest staff I have come across in a long time. Warm and friendly welcome. A faulty hairdryer was replaced in 2 minutes. Excellent food, quite unexpectedly good.

There doesn't seem to be a village, which we were expecting, just a collection of houses.

Overall: A very pleasant two nights with delicious food and excellent service. The rooms were very nice too. The double was a reasonable size but the twin room was larger and very roomy.  (107345801)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
