convenient for central london convenient for local shops, restaurants and theatres requested a change of rooms after check-in and was immediately re-accommodated room service and restaurant facilities very good

*Only one very small lift. *Room was freezing cold. *Tele was tiny and had no remote control. *Toilet roll was not stocked. *No milk for tea/coffee. *Blood on the carpets and bed sheet... *Cleaner came in at 5pm and we were made to stand outside our room until he had finished.

Overall: I seriously do not moan very much about hotels, however I feel for the money we spent we did not get the kind of room we hoped for.  (107304805)

Clean hotel and room

Non smoking room smelt dreadfully of smoke. (we have had to dry clean all the clothes in the wardrobe) Room was not ready on arrival, ended up upgrading just to get a room. Extractor fan in the bathroom was broken The airconditioning controls were impossible to use. Sat on hold for over 5 minutes to speak to the concierge who then told me that he wouldn't order a taxi for me.

Overall: Overall, very disappointing. Especially considering the fact that the room cost over £180.  (107995775)

We stayed in the Marlborough which although still being worked on did not spoil or disturb our stay at all, staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful, the room was sumptious and the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on.

You could say workmen in the hallways were a bad point but we were not disturbed at all and everyone was very courteous.

Overall: Very pleasant and restful stay, superbly located within walking distance for all we wanted to do. Would definitely stay again.  (107681257)

quiet, excellent location, very comfortable bed

no reading light above bed, cold room, would add a sheer white curtain in addition to the one that blocks out the light, slow elevator used for guests as well as hotel staff, breakfast staff had a few inattentive members

Overall: although it was nothing to rave about, it was adequate under every point of view  (107713976)
