Good decor, excellent breakfast and convenient location close to City centre

Room a little small and often a short wait to be seated at breakfast

The accommodation was clean, light and bright and quiet even though the room was overlooking the main road.

Overall: The hotel is a little way out of the city but we were able to walk to an area with restaurants and later explore a litte of the centre which was 15 minutes from the hotel. The breakfast was good and the staff very professional and friendly. It was good to have secure car parking. The drive to the airport took about 40 minutes and so all in all the hotel is conveniently situated. For longer stays there is a bus service into the town.  (99074159)

The accommodation was clean and tidy, excellent breakfast.

No air conditioning on a very hot weekend in Dublin required the window to be left open all night to try and keep the room cool.

clean ,Fantastic location ,convenient, very pleasant and efficient staff, good food, great car park access and egress, generally a good experience.

Disappointed that not one Irish person on the staff. If I was a tourist I would come to Ireland to experience the Irish hospitality but it did not exist in Pembrooke Townhouse. I was unhappy with the room outerdoor( it was hard to open) and the wardrobe door was not capable of being opened due to the hinge of the outer door pressing against it hence the full length door mirror was useless in room 606.The shower curtain fell on my head when I pulled the curtain as it had never been screwed to the walls at either end.I put it back as was but there were no screws .My wife complained about the shower head being fixed to the roof as it would affect her newly done hair if she used it.this is a common complaint from females. More info should be available in rooms like a city centre map ,list of restaurants ,

Overall: One could get the impression that the stay was very poor but that is not the case . It was poor value for money spent and as such would not encourage us to go back but taking note of what I have said would resolve the issues.I have been in Tourism related manufacture for 30 years. To serve the tourist one has to think like one and satisfy their needs. I have travelled the world for 45 years in Business so I would be choosy and I hope you take this in the spirit in which it is intended.  (99717035)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
