Ideally located in Besancon.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Beautiful old building, just the type of hotel I dreamed of staying in when booking from Australia.
Having car parking was appreciated.
It would have been good to have a tea/coffee making facility in our room.
We weren't aware that some of the streets would be closed for the Saturday afternoon markets which did make it difficult to get to the Granville.
Overall: Very enjoyable and I would certainly recommend to friends. (107435069)

very friendly staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Nice location in the town. Parking available at low extra cost.
The walls were thin and needed sound insulation. The carpets and bathroom needed upgrading. Internet access was extremely slow.
Overall: Good location from which to explore the town and visit the Citadel. Friendly staff. Rooms clean, but need upgrading of carpets and better sound insulation. (97393344)

Good Value for money
Our room could do with updating and was noisy you could hear people moving around upstairs,we would use this hotel again but ask for a room at the top of the hotel.
Overall: You could not fault this hotel for value for money. (99222258)

The central location and the hotel's ambience
Attic room so only the skyline view.
Overall: The hotel was very welcoming and friendly and was ideally situated for Besancon's centre which was within walking distance. Although we had an attic room with only a skyline view this made the room quiet and tranquil. (99031724)

Friendly staff, good breakfast and especially the user-friendly bedside reading light!
Overall: The Citotel is a comfortable, friendly hotel in the heart of beautiful 'old' Besancon. La Citadelle, the old fort, has attractions for all ages and interests: from tigers and monkeys living in moats to an area devoted to the history of the French Resistance. I would recommend a visit.
