We found some the plumbing(?) noises a little annoying. Particularly something that sounded like a pump running that ran for short periods throughout the night.

Lovely setting - delicious breakfast and dinner - extra little touches like bottled water in room and cotton buds, brilliant!

Only criticism - don't think desserts were home-made-

The location of the hotel was superb, scenic and secluded. We received a very warm welcome from the hotel manager, and they went out of their way to be helpful by storing some perishable goods in the fridge for us, and also getting up the following morning (Sunday) at 6am to let us out as we had to leave early to catch a ferry. We found the room large and spacious, with lovely views, and an enormous bed.

The only bad point was the noise of the water/bilge pump in the ensuite bathroom, that went off every time you switched on the water tap or flushed the toilet and was very loud.

Overall: Loved it, but it was too fleeting (we came over from the Netherlands for a wedding in the evening and had to leave early to go back the next day.) We will definitely return, if only to have a chance to have a longer stay and soak up the atmosphere!  (107393063)

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
