The breakfast was good and service at breakfast was good.

Window broken in our room meaning a 1 inch gap all the way round the window. This meant it was noisy as the window was also not double glazed. The headrest on the bed was broken so had to be removed, the main light didn't work in the room and the radiator had to be fixed. We have a 4 month old son so all of this meant the stay was somewhat difficult.

Overall: The hotel was pretty awful really, we managed to get £10 off the price for all the issues we faced but would never stay there again.  (108735048)

Comfortable hotel in a location that was convenient. Good breakfast and friendly efficient waitress service.

Bedroom curtains had hem hanging down on one curtain.

Overall: Good experience.  (108972325)

Hotel is fairly run down and had a strange smell to it. The linen on the breakfast tables was still dirty from the day before. Bedroom furniture was cheap looking and old

Overall: I wouldn't recommend staying there, staff were overall friendly  (108671871)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
