The hotel had the potential to be exceptional as it has great facilities, but some of the service levels pushed the experience down to adequate which was a shame as the facility had great potential.
Being able to book on-line dispite being told by telephone that the hotel was full. Special rate offered for wedding was avaliable as standard on web. Drinks (spirits) were far too expensive. Wedding table layout was poor with a large table in the doorway. This was the same for breakfast dispite being in another room. Poor performance by bar staff at after hours hotel bar, firstly needing a booking slip dispite being on the computer, very poorly attended bar. Drinks were charged that I didnt recognise and when I challenged it I gave up in the end and just paid it, dispite having a witness (another guest) who was agreeing with me.
Overall: Superb facility and location spoilt by mediocre service. (107865670)

The staff were amazing, attentive without being intrusive.
The food - WOW !!! what an experience.
The treatment at the Spa and the whole spa experience was first class.
None to speak of.
Overall: Would definately go back-especially at the price I paid, £99 per room inc. dinner! (107788300)

Food, accomodation, comfort, service, convenience all absolutely first class. the leisure facilities are superb.
