Clean, pleasant surroundings and close to the places we wanted to visit

Modern hotel, with central location. Easy walking access to city centre and its attractions/shops
Overall: Having moved from Yorkshire 5 years ago, it was great to be back! All staff polite and friendly with usual Yorkshire hospitality - or am I biased? 5th floor gives a pleasant view of Cliffords Tower. Tea/Coffee facilities in room. No bath for long soak afer walking the city walls but stylish shower with massager makes up for that. Parking on street can be a problem, so new visitors should note council parking at Castle Mills has allocated parking for hotel guests - ask for permits AFTER finding a space! A bath, rather than just a shower, would have been an advantage.
Overall: This is the fourth occasion I have stayed in this hotel, including a 2 night stay in May, along with approx. 30 family members, on the occasion of my daughter's wedding. My experience has always been good. (1507095)
