Great friendly staff == good welsh food -- very fresh.. Blackboard day menu is worth at visit..
Rooms are excellent - not plastic or out of characture. Bathroom/Shower all new..
Overall: Located in the old town walls...easy walk to castle & market square + marina..
Refurbished this year 2009 in an old world style (tastefully).. An historic hotel with a full history in rooms.

Excellent location, a lot of history, good food, friendly staff.
Hotel has been well restored and upgraded.
In small street so get map/directions before you start.Morning/breakfast staff very busy.
Overall: Enjoyed visit to Caernafon and loved the Castle and its exhibits were well done. Learned a lot about Welsh (and some English) history going back 100s of years.

Excellent room for the money. Lots of character, good furniture, good facilities.
Maintenance and cleaning could be improved (no reason why only 3 out of 5 lights in the bedroom should work and lamp shades on bed side lights thick with dust on sides near to wall).
Overall: Very good and a good spring clean would make it excellent value for money.

staff were excellent on the 1st night, late drinks request, no problems. filled us in with info that wasn't forthcoming on arrive ie:- how to get in when closed after late night out !!!
staff couldn't get us out of the bar quick enough, not the same staff as 1st night !!!
fire alarm went off at about 08:00 hrs monday morning, we were told don't worry we didn't burn your breakfast, not concerned that had to get up and come down to find out what was going on !!! we didn't know if there was a fire or not, bit concerning.
Overall: over all our stay was pleasant and even considering the above we would book again. staff were good 1st day and not so good 2nd day. Meals were very good.
