4.6 / 5 4.6 / 5 Norma [Orleans, Ontario, CA] on 18/08/2009 (Group of work colleagues)

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well appointed. I felt very much at home while staying in your hotel.

Although WIFI was available, it would be useful to have a business center with computer access for those guests travelling for leisure who don't carry a laptop with them on holidays.

Overall: Great location and pretty good value for the money.  (108177379)

4.3 / 5 4.3 / 5 Anonymous on 18/08/2009 (Young couple)

Central location, nice public areas. Good TV in room.

Room very hot and very noisy at night (noise from outside hotel)

Overall: Fine, will use again when in Norwich  (108445767)

3.1 / 5 3.1 / 5 TREVOR [BASILDON, GB] on 21/07/2009 (Mature couple)

Central location. Good sized bathroom.

Difficult to navigate narrow corridors, particularly with luggage, and poor signage. Shabby furnishings eg carpets.

Overall: Served purpose but not memorable.  (108483981)

3.6 / 5 3.6 / 5 Lynne [Leicester, GB] on 20/07/2009 (Mature couple)

Excellent location, good decor, nice meals (evening & breakfast), good parking, pleasant staff (admin & restaurant).

Not disabled (wheelchair) friendly, no ladies toilet on same floor as restaurant. Room 106 was extremely noisy, large extractor fans outside window operating all night, consequently very little sleep. Did not get a satisfactory explanation.

Overall: The very poor night's sleep was an overriding factor in our lack of satisfaction with the overall experience  (107684266)

3.4 / 5 3.4 / 5 Anonymous on 25/06/2009 (Mature couple)

excellent position but the hotel still needs work to justify its position

We ate with a party in the Palce Room A very pleasant setting but the food was awful Aspargus undercooked sauce too runny Chicken overcooked and pudding-well I dont know how to describe it Very disappointing based on its cost

Overall: We would certiany stay again but try to avoid the food  (107376704)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
