Kindness of receptionist who dealt with us when we arrived late at midnight. We did advise the hotel via the web site that we would be arriving after 23h00, but this did not appear on the hotel's computer.
The external computerised check in system which we could have used to check in when we arrived late did not work, so we had to wake up the caretaker/receptionist to let us in.
Also, the directions to the hotel given on the web site are useless for anyone coming into Alencon from Caen, as we did that night. We spent at least half an hour driving around through Alencon trying to find the hotel. It would also be useful to give an estimate of the travelling time from Caen to Alencon.
Overall: OK. Good bed, good supply of hot water in the morning for shower. Sympathetic receptionist. (107468709)

The room was clean and comfortable - and the facilities were good.
The map of the location on the website did not match the written directions - but the written directions were clear. There was some confusion when we booked in, but it was soon resolved. Nothing significant - it would have been nice if the TV had a wider choice of English Language programmes - but we were in France!

Easy to find. Close to motorway. Spotless. English news channel on TV. Comfortable beds. Late check in and out times.
Not in a very pretty location but we didn't care because we only slept there!
Overall: Basic accommodation which suited us perfectly for an overnight stop on the way to the south. (97677526)

The deputy manager who looked after us was very courteous. The beds were comfortable.
The diner was below average. My daughter and I had an entrecote full of nerves and fat that we could hardly cut. The meat was . We felt so bad about it that we did not ask for desert in case we were faced with an other bad experience. The waitress serving us was very unfriendly and never smiled. The bathroom smelled awful as if it had not been cleaned properly. I used to be a head housekeeper and I know what standard I should expect.
