NICE ROOM BETTER QUALITY FURNISHINGS.
NOT MADE AWARE THAT ANY ROOMS WERE BIG ENOUGH TO ACCOMADATE MY FAMILY OF 5, SO HAD TO BOOK 2 ROOMS. ON ARRIVAL I WAS TOLD THAT THOSE "BETTER" ROOMS WERE FOR THEIR OWN WEBSITE AND THEREFORE I HAD TO KEEP MY ORIGINAL BOOKING AND PAY FOR THE ROOMS, EVEN THOUGH NOT USED. NO REDUCTION WAS OFFERED OR COMPROMISE MADE.
Overall: VERY POOR AND WOULD NOY USE THIS WEB SITE AGAIN. (108136410)

Over all pretty good but carpet in bedroom needs replacing and the shower head needs cleaning internaly.
Room getting a little tired , decor and fittings need attention but furniture in room good
Overall: Pretty good , not expencive for the location and another plus are the spectacular views (107280055)
Overall: When we arrived for our stay the hotel looked very inviting from the outside,we soon found that it was anything but,the staff were not very helpful, the reception was very dull and dirty. When we got to our room although being spacious it was not very clean, blood stains on the seat, stains on the valance covering the base of the bed also the bathroom was not in our opinion up to 3 star standards. We went to the bar to have something to eat the smell was overpowering, the food was disgusting. Our weekend got of to a bad start as we checked out the next morning after a disgusting cold breakfast from room service with no questions from any member of staff asking why we were leaving. As it was the Ireland and Wales rugby match we were unable to get accomadation within our budget so our Anniversary weekend was ruined. Good location, fantastic view from room and ample parking. Overall good value for money
No hairdryer in room - had to ask to borrow one (minor complaint)
Overall: The hotel was in an excellent location, and Howth is only a short distance away. Howth itself is excellent, loads of restaurants to cater for all. Because of the location, its better to travel by car, but not ideal if you mainly want to visit Dublin City centre. Don't be put off by the fact that Deer Park is on a golf course, there are plenty of other things to do and places to visit in the surrounding areas. There is ample free parking if you travel by car, and the staff are all polite and friendly. The breakfast was good, although we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant - there are a lot of good restaurants in Howth. I would recommend this hotel to others, and would consider staying here again. Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.
Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.
All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.
48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
