Great exterior; great location; peaceful at night despite planes; nice little cosy room; felt safe. Adequate, simple, contintental breakfast

Surly, unwelcoming dark-haired receptionist on evening arrival (but charming light-haired one on exit next day)- doesn't she know about customer service? She made me feel like a total nuisance arriving for a stay at her hotel -Wonky hot water tap- swivelled round on itself spraying water everywhere! -TV - up so high I had to stand on chair to switch it on- remote didn't seem to do this -Tiny bathroom basin- and I'm a small person- could barely fit 2 hands in! -NO shelf space in bathroom for toiletries -Dusty carpet around edges of room -No pillow covers over pillows (below pillow cases I mean)

Overall: Good price for convenient location in lovely Richmond. Not luxury (apart from exterior!) but perfectly OK.  (108351508)

Was very nice staff people for our late arrival (5 in the morning), and it was a very very pleasant stay :)

Would need an extra blancet or two for the bad standard of isolation on british houses. Very cold during nighttime.

Overall: Very good :) will absolutely reconsider too stay there again.  (108618382)

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
