Central location

Low popularity of Restaurant on Terrace for dinner and poor substitute dining room. Lacks Residents' Lounge. Cafe Bar is soulless and lacking in character- also sherry and Boddingtons!

lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, central location

asked for double room and got a twin room, dinner not fantastic but breakfast was great

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
