The hotel is located in beautiful surroundings, nestled in the woods, although a car is definitely needed to move around the area.
Our room was a little bit "tired", the bed had a wicker headboard, walls looked unfinished, and some of the tiling in the bathroom was chipped. It was almost as if it had had its prime during the 80s, but no serious refurbishment has been performed since. This is reflected in the decor and the wear and tear of the interior.
Overall: I had a pleasant stay overall. Not sure if I would come back as there are so many other great hotels in the area, for example I really enjoyed my weekend at Cantemerle which is in the same area, also in great surroundings, but more updated. This had been my first choice but were fully booked at the time. (107933495)

This is a world-class destination hotel and the experience was world-class. I liked the fact that it was such a quiet place. Also, I'm a distance runner, who likes the flats and the hills, and I had great runs directly from this resort that were like a dream.

quiet, scenic, clean
location. we needed to drive into the village. we suggest that the hotel get a mini-Van to bring people into and back to the hotel.
Overall: this hotel is in a beautiful location, scenic & quiet, though it is away from the village. we needed to take a taxi into the village. it would be better if the hotel offered a mini-van service for its guests. (3304918542)
