My Hotel In France Montmartre, Paris

Excellent friendly staff, outstanding value for money. Location could not be beat. Was not expecting breakfast or snack so pleasantly surprised. Rooms were exactly as reserved - twins.

Room was clean and sufficient size but quite shabby -- hadn't seen repair in ages. Several rather large holes in the walls, shower was borderline functional. Breakfast "coffee" was instant from a sub-par machine. There were cold bottled drinks which probably would have been a smarter choice in retrospect. Internet not working the night we stayed.

Overall: Overall we got much more than we paid for. Not a luxury hotel, but a double room with private bath for 70 EUR in the heart of Montmartre in June -- what do you expect? The take-away snack (2 small baguettes, butter, cheese, apple, water, small croissant and small pain chocolate) was the final touch that really endeared this hotel to me. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that due to a mistake made with bookings, we did not have a room and that we were being placed in another hotel for the night. We were sent to the other hotel via taxi but we ended up paying for the taxi.

Overall: The staff were generally friendly but I don't believe that the transition between hotels was handled very well from their end (it was handled much better by the other hotel)  (107622561)

In a good location in Montmartre. Clean rooms.

Could have done with an offer of help to take the suitcases up to our room. With no lift...the stairs are fairly steep! Friendly reception staff.

Overall: Clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we had to have 2 single rooms on our first night as the room allocated had a broken toilet, but the receptionist did offer us the option of going to another hotel.  (107161034)

Location was just perfect. The room was very clean and quiet, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was rather basic and the breakfest room, lets say uncheerful.

Good breakfast. Pleasant staff. Ideal location.

Overall: We were travelling with weekend bags only (& on 2nd floor) so lack of elevator posed no problem. May be problematic for those on extended stays with heavy bags on upper floors. Size of shower cubicle would be real problem for any large framed adults  (1977720)
