Very friendly people, food good, nice village, friendly local shop.

Too many hazards, sloping floors, dangerous stairs, damaged forehead several times on low lintels, too many struggles with faulty locks and latches.

Beautiful old hotel Nice simple restaurant menu, wholesome food, well priced Good beers and a Sheperds Neame Inn over the road (if you like your Kentish Ale) Quiet.

Uneven floors meant our bed was on a slant - it's inevitable in a house 600 years old.. but the slant meant I woke with a bad back. In retrospect I should have slept the other way up.

Overall: A very nice hotel, wonderfully dark and quiet no noise or light pollution in the heart of some beautiful countryside. Staff were friendly particularly the chef / proprioter.  (108755150)

Attractive building

Understaffed & no staff after 8pm.No evening meal facility. Cooked breakfast of poor quality and presentation.Staff a bit unprofessional.

friendly staff and manager,really excellent food,very interesting hotel and very well placed to tour the area.

Bedroom too hot as the general pipes run through the room and cannot be isolated .A visible bar ,even a small one would encourage us to stay longer after the evening dinner.

Overall: We very much enjoyed our stay in a beautiful hotel in a very interesting area  (107774629)
