The Icelandic people are very friendly and at this hotel we were most impressed. The service was excellent and the location fantastic as Myvatn has so much to see. Fantastic view from our bedroom of the Lake and every facility in the room itself.
Overall: We travelled out of season, the menu is a bit restrictive at this time but I am sure that the food offered would suit most people and you must try the local dishes! The food was excellent. We were delighted with the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room. Large bed, tea and coffee making facilities and a large room. The hotel location is superb for accessing all there is to see around lake Myvatn and the manager pointed out the location of sightseeing points. The staff even arranged for us to be called to view the northern lights - in the middle of the night (they did ask us if we wanted to before). (97525166)
