a very strange experience...... especially dismembered doll heads
dark, dismal and damp. bedding smelt of body odour and food was far from being 'gastronome'
Overall: we felt as though we had strayed onto a set of a hammer horror movie definately a ' not to be repeated 'experience (107277184)

Overall: This place is an experience not to be missed. From the heraldic shields to the collection of lace head coverings displayed rather unnervingly on what look like severed heads halfway up the stairs (dolls' heads, it turns out) to the absence of in-room entertainment - no TV or radio anywhere to be found - and the excellent food placed before you with no menu, and no choice of wine either, it's much more like gatecrashing someone else's country house weekend than staying in a hotel. No problem re car parking in very secure area. Met by owner could not have been nicer. Other than for the sound of the water place very quiet and accommodation excellent. Dining room very nice. Home cooking-literally
This type of premises served my the owner very difficult to change. Only point is that the evening meal has no choice-there could be times that some people may not be able or like the choice-especially as the cost is just a little on the high side. But I was happy with the cost.
Overall: I know the area but directions could be clearer-especially as the motorway authorities have removed Beze from J.5 sign board. One has to ask why. Excellent and quiet location. I am glad you e-mailed me as I intended to find your address and this has saved me time. Thanks (2382306)
